I am told this is a type of Salvia. It could be a Salvia Sage, Salvia Greggii or Autumn Sage. I have some blogger friends who are experts in plants and flowers. Please help me identify.:-)
The following photo was taken in June when Salvia was at its peak. It’s a very elegant plant and hardy , too! From time to time, I dig up a small portion of the roots and transplant it to another corner of my garden, and Salvia survives the move each and every time.
The rest, including the feature photo, are snapped today around lunch time. Salvia is at the end of its season. Still, it attracts many little visitors, like this colorful Skipper Butterfly and a Bee.
We are hanging on to the tail end of summer.
